{Project 366} - #1 - New Year, New Project..

Start of a new year, means the start of my new Project 366.. However, I do understand that it should only be 1 photo per day, but in my case, it's way too difficult to narrow it down since I take way too many and usually 1 photo does not represent my entire day, so I'll do a photo collage instead.. cheating? yeah, maybe just a bit.. ;)

Anyway, what a stinker of a day here in Adelaide - it reached a top of 41.6 degrees, which would be ok if we were inside with nice air-conditioning, but instead we had quite a huge day..

We started the morning with a little bit of a sleep-in after a bad night, then headed out for brunch with my parents and brothers at Nghi Ngan Quan for Bun Bo Hue (Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup) and Vietnamese iced white coffee.. delicious goodness at 11am..

Afterwards, we headed home so Lucas could have his 1st nap of the day - it was so hot that we didn't bother wrapping him.. Bad move though as he only slept for about 40 minutes, whereas usually he'd sleep for an hour and a half... Oh well, he did look so cute with his arms spread out..

So after a bit of lunch and play at home, we braved the heat again and headed out to celebrate Stefan's 1st Birthday at Collins Reserve.. By the time we got there at around 3.30pm, the heat was at its worse.. His parents did an amazing job despite the conditions, even putting on a bbq for everyone..

And as if I hadn't seen my parents and brothers enough for the day, my dad organised for all of us to go out to Mings Palace for dinner tonight also! We had their famous Peking Duck as well as a few other dishes..
