Anyway, it was the usual swimming lesson this morning, followed by brunch with my family.. Afterwards, we went home to start packing for our trip tomorrow.. Hopefully Lucas will be a good boy on the plane..

{Project 366} - #48 - Sultanas..
Sultanas have been a hit with Lucas for the past couple of weeks.. Usually he'll bring us the box of sultanas that he finds in his nappy bag, but this is the 2nd time a box had busted open while he was crawling to us, so of course he had free reign and helped himself to the goodies..

{Project 366} - #47 - Balloon Ball
After a big day yesterday, today was much the opposite.. I had plans to take Lucas to kindergym again today, but instead he slept through half of it, so it wasn't worth going..
So we hung around at home for most of the day and it looks like Lucas loves the balloon ball I made him..
However, he also had an awesome time throwing around all my clean laundry and folded clothes that I hadn't put away..

{Project 366} - #46 - A Big Day!
It was excitement plus today for our little family..
Well, not really for me, but we did have a fire evacuation this morning at work, which ended up being a false alarm.. The funny thing is that just before I went on maternity leave, I was a fire warden for 3 years.. Everytime there was a fire evacuation, I was always away for one reason or another, so missed out on all of them and now that I'm not a fire warden anymore, I don't need to do anything! Haha!

Anyway, so while I was at work, Brian took his car in for a major service, and instead of hanging around for hours, he caught the bus to Tea Tree Plaza with Lucas..
It looks like they had a awesome time together, apparently Lucas refused to get off his speedy red car.. How cool does he look?
They even attended the 1st half of the baby bounce session at the library before Lucas fell asleep in Brian's arms... awwww..
And here are a few more photos just for good measure.. ;)

{Project 366} - #45 - Happy Valentines Day...
For those who celebrate..
We don't as it's just way too commercialised and why make just one day to celebrate love? Everyone should tell their partners and family that they love them every day and do something special for them anytime..
So with that in mind, I would still like to say that these 2 men are the love of my life and I cannot imagine being without them.. xx
Happy 14 months too, little man!

{Project 366} - #44 - Child Care Visit & Spaghetti Feast
This morning I took Lucas to the Child Care Centre for a transistion visit.. We stayed for about an hour and after a clingy start, Lucas gained some confidence and ventured up to 2 metres away from me to play with some of the toys..
Then tonight, we went for dinner with my brother and sister to Outback Jacks.. While we ate bbq ribs, Lucas feasted on the spaghetti, creating a huge mess..

{Project 366} - #43 - Victor Harbor
It was such a beautiful day today, so we headed down to Victor Harbor - or "Victor", as the locals call it..
We timed it so Lucas would sleep the entire drive down, and luckily he did - a whole hour and a half of driving due to roadworks getting out of the city, so by the time we arrived, it was lunch time.. Of course we ordered some Fish and Chips to have by the sea and as per usual, Lucas loved munching on the chips and had a bit of the fish too..
Afterwards we walked across the bridge to Granite Island to work off some of our lunch.. It was quite warm under the sun and Lucas was getting a bit antsy, so we didn't end up walking the entire way around the island..
Instead, we headed back over the causeway to the Victor Harbor country markets, which is usually held every 2nd and 4th Sunday.. There wasn't that much there of interest for me, however, Lucas found a whole table full of used toys and he was in heaven!!

{Project 366} - #42 - Sewing Mojo..
Swimming lessons this morning was a huge improvement from last week for my little man.. He only wailed a couple of times when he saw me sitting on the side of the pool and also when he had to crawl across the mat.. The instructor asked Brian before the crawl if Lucas could walk or crawl - Brian answered, "He can crawl and cry".. And yep, that's exactly what he did.. lol..
Anyway, this arvo I found a little bit of motivation to do some sewing - Lucas thought he'd give me a hand too.. He loved playing around with all my fabric and had a ball!
This was the end result (I did the sewing while Lucas was asleep).. It's a balloon ball, which I thought would be perfect to take with us when we go away.. It was quite easy to make and you can find the free pattern and instructions from the Mad Quilter Blog.

{Project 366} - #41 - Give Mama a Kiss or Three..
Who cares that Summer has gone on hiatus this year? Not me!! I am totally loving the cooler weather at the moment and so is Lucas.. This morning I took him for a walk to the park to feed the ducks and play on the swings again.. He usually ends up eating a slice and a half himself while watching me feed the ducks..
The top photo was taken this morning on my iPhone and the bottom was just now before his night time nap.. I just love my little monkey so much!

{Project 366} - #40 - Playgroup
I took Lucas to the TTG Kindergym this arvo for our first session, which consisted of 5 minutes warm-up singing and parachute play, 40mins of free play and another 10 minutes of singing and parachute play..
Lucas wasn't a huge fan at the start when I put him in the ball pit or left him a few metres away to get him to crawl towards me.. Eventually, he half warmed to the idea and did manage to play on a few things.. I think he was more interested in staring at the other toddlers play though..

{Project 366} - #39 - Oopsies.
Last night I spent some time baking Peach and Banana muffins to take to work this morning since it was my birthday last Saturday.. These days I don't have much time to bake, but these are so easy and only take about 5-10 minutes to get into the oven.. Plus I had some overripe peaches and bananas to use up..
However, when I arrived at work and was getting my backpack out of the car, the box of muffins fell onto the ground as I had placed them on the boot of the car, and the lid popped open.. OH NO!! About half of them fell out and the tops of them were covered in cement dust.. Guess it puts a spin on the 'Harden the F*ck up' quote..

{Project 366} - #38 - Errrrmmmm...
Just another day at work today for both Brian and I, so once again Lucas went to his grandma's place for the day.. I think he's getting a bit better as he ate most of his food I prepared for him and had a big 2 hour nap there, which is a first for him.. He didn't manage to repeat yesterday's epic 10 hour stretch of sleep though overnight.. Oh well..
Anyway, when he got home, Brian showed him the new Lego 4wd and motorbikes that he had just built last night.. Lucas just loves playing with cars - any cars.. Everytime he pushes them around, he'll start making 'errrmmm errmmm" noises..

{Project 366} - #37 - Finally!!
OMFG!! WOOHOO!! YAY!!
My little man slept for almost 10 hours straight last night - the first time ever!! The last longest stretch was back in July last year when he was sick and slept for just over 6 hours.. This trumps it by far!! Now, keep up the good work, baby.. xx
On a different note, I took him to the park this arvo to feed the ducks and also for a quick 5 minute photoshoot.. Along with "mama", "baba" and "dada", he's been saying "water", "yeah", "there" every now and then for a few weeks now, today "duck" was added to that repertoire..

The only problem with him sleeping 10 hours straight is that we had no idea it was going to happen, so didn't go to bed until just after midnight.. Oh well - almost 6 hours is pretty good still!! Must make myself go to bed earlier!!

{Project 366} - #36 - Adelaide Zoo Trip
After Lucas' morning nap, we spent a lazy afternoon at the Adelaide Zoo today..
The weather this morning was wet and very windy, but it turned out to be fantastic by the time we headed out..
We spent a good half hour in front of the giraffe enclosure while Lucas feasted on carrot & spaghetti dogs, vegemite toast and strawberries for lunch.. He just loved watching
them..
Afterwards, we took him out of his pram and showed him the meerkats which were just in front of the giraffes, his smile says it all!
Back in October last year when we first purchased our annual passes, he didn't see any of the animals, but now, he loves pointing and watching them all.. And as you can see, he was totally buggered by the time we left, that batmobile was clamped in his mouth the entire ride home..

{Project 366} - #35 - Date Night
Happy Birthday to me!
We had quite a busy day today..
Afterwards, I went to get my eyes checked to get some new glasses.. With Lucas' little hands always reaching out for my current ones, it's probably a good idea to get at least another pair..
Then Brian and I went out on our own tonight to Blanc Bistro to celebrate my birthday, while my wonderful sister looked after Lucas for a few hours.. It sounds like they had a good time together - going for a long walk to feed the ducks and lots of story and play time.. Of course he was still up when we got home, but that's ok..
It wasn't much of a night out though, just dinner but it was still lovely to be able to have a HOT meal uninterrupted.. Guess that's what happens when you have children! =)
Anyway, the food was fantastic and the Eaton Mess was to die for.. Brian said that they were the tastiest mushrooms he's ever had.. haha..
We had quite a busy day today..
Lucas' swimming lessons has resumed again and boy was he not happy!! He cried for most of the session - I think it was party due to the long lapse between lessons and also because of our new instructor, his teacher was Mrs Trunchbull from 'Matilda' in looks and voice!

[Project 366} - #34 - Bath time and Farts..
Bath time is one of Lucas' favourite times of the day - it's also Daddy and son time, which gives me a lovely 15 minutes or so of peace and quiet.. Today, I snuck up and took a few snaps of my little man - this was the moment he saw me.. haha.. it's not very often we see him sit in the bath these days as he much prefers to stand..
On a different note, something I have been pondering for a while now - when do farts go from being oh so cute coming from a baby to "ewww.. that's disgusting"?
For the past week or so, every time Lucas does one, he looks at us and gives us a cheeky grin.. lol.. it's just hilarious..

{Project 366} - #33 - Zoom Zoom
The guy who installed it thought it was quite hilarious how close we were to the tower.. He said it was the closest install he had ever done and probably didn't need to install anything on our roof, however, it was policy.. So for a bit of humour, he took the receiver inside our study to see how strong the signal was.. Even from inside we got half strength signal, which is apparently pretty good still..
Anyway, I ran a few speedtests using our old connection and the new one.. There is definitely a notable improvement (that screenprint was one of the better ones, of course), however, there seems to be some issues with the new connection, as it seems to drop out quite often.. Hope it gets sorted tomorrow..

{Project 366} - #32 - Round and Round we go..
Wow, February already!! Where did the last month go?? Seriously?!
Anyway, Lucas and I went out to Unity Park in Pooraka this arvo to catch up with our mummy and bubby group.. We were lucky that they were still around as Lucas had a big nap and slept from 11.30am to 1.30pm..
It seems like the round-a-bout thing was a huge hit for the little people.. Lucas loved sitting on there until he found out that he could spin it around himself.. He wasn't quite a fan when Sammy sat on top though as he couldn't push it around anymore, instead, he tried to push Sammy off.. haha.. Probably revenge from last time on the car when Sammy tried pushing Lucas off..
Then this evening, we went out to have dinner with Brian's parents at Hong Kee Restaurant in the city.. Not that you can see them properly, but how cute are my favourite men in their Superman tops? =)

{Project 366} - #31 - Feeding the ducks..
It was another work day for both Brian and I, so Lucas went to his grandma's place again for the day.. Brian took this photo on his iphone just as he was leaving... awww....
Since he had a late arvo nap there, we decided to take him for a walk just before sunset to feed the ducks.. He just loves staring at them, although he wasn't so sure about being left on his own with them all surrounding him though..

{Project 366} - #30 - Eeek!
I totally forgot to post my photo of the day yesterday - I was too busy trying to pat Lucas to sleep and it just kills my back because if we don't hold him down, he'll just roll over and try to crawl away or stand up.. *sigh* At least he had a decent strech of five and a half hours again..
Anyway, we received this bill in the mail for the ambulance ride just after Christmas when Lucas had a reaction to milk protein found in a cracker.. All I can say is thank god for health insurance!!
